Fox ESS supply a 3-phase modus meter with all 3-phase Hybrid inverters and AC chargers. The meter supplied is the Chint DTSU666 (with CTs). Please note, this meter is available for grid-tied inverters (T, V, R Series) for grid import/export monitoring, however it is not standard issue for those models and would need to be purchased separately.
Please note, for some models we may also supply an additional DTSU666 meter variant (without CTs and wired as a through meter), however this meter is not suitable for all UK installations and therefore we recommend using the CT version of the meter as detailed below.
Installation Guide
Negative CT clamps, (Black cores) go into terminals: L1-3, L2-6 and L3-9.
Positive CT clamps (Red Cores) go into terminals: L1-1, L2-4 and L3-7
Feed to the Chint meter needs to come from a 6 amp 3 pole breaker using 1.5mm 4 core cable. L1, L2 and L3 need to go into terminals: 2, 5 and 8 and the neutral must go into terminal 10.
Communication to the inverter goes from 24-25 please refer to the inverter manual for specific termination on the inverter end (please refer to the inverter manual).
NOTE:
- CT clamp arrow MUST face the LOAD, CT clamp location should be placed on the outgoing side of the Incoming supply meter.
- Phase rotation IS imperative, please ensure that the phase rotation is correct throughout the installation and property.
