We’re rolling out a major upgrade to the Fox ESS app that brings your system to life in near real time. The main energy-flow screen will now refresh every 5 seconds, instead of every 3–5 minutes, giving you a far more responsive and accurate view of what your home, solar and battery are doing right now.
This upgrade focuses on live visualisation, while detailed performance data, reporting and billing-grade figures continue to be transmitted and stored on the usual secure intervals in the background.
The new 5-second updates are model-dependent and require minimum firmware versions for both the inverter and datalogger – these are listed below – and once enabled you’ll immediately notice a much smoother, more dynamic app experience that better reflects how your system is actually operating in real time.
Please note, this feature is currently only available for single inverters and is not available for inverters installed in parallel with separate dataloggers polling independently.

Please note, 5s polling will not be available for 4G connected devices. Similarly, if your device is not listed above (this includes grid-tied and some legacy Hybrid models), then this feature is not currently available.
