This is a summary guide of how to parallel the KH/KA inverters. Please refer to the product manual for detailed installation guidance.
- Define what inverter will be the master inverter (master inverter MUST have the CT/Meter connected to it).
- Once this has been determined you will need to run a cat 5 (pin 1-8) ethernet lead between the master and 1st slave inverter.
- You will need to plug the RS485 plug into parallel 2 on the master inverter and the other end of the RS485 plugs into parallel 1 (follow this process to the next slave inverter).
- You will need to set all dip switches on the master inverter to the on position.
- Parallel inverter settings will also need to be set on the master inverter and slave inverters.
Inverter parallel settings:
Enter the menu on the inverter – click on settings – click on parallel,
Here you will need to set the “address” and “number”
Adress – relates to the parallel ID of the machine. You can set between 1-249
For master you set 1, 1st slave you set as 2, Second slave set as 3… etc
Number – Relates to the amount of inverters in parallel. You can set between 2-8
You must set the same number for all slaves.
things to note:
- All inverters MUST be on the same firmware to eliminate compatibility issues.
- The PV strings and battery storage must be evenly distributed across all inverters.
