Clarification on IEC 62933
IEC 62933 is a system-level standard for full, grid-connected EESS. It is:
- Recommended, not mandatory under IET CoP
- Not required for separately certified components (battery + inverter)
- Accepted to be marked N/A on commissioning forms for EP + H1/H3 or ECS + H1/H3
FoxESS AIO systems (e.g. PowerQ, EVO) will align with IEC 62933 by design.
Battery Safety Standards: 62619 vs 63056
- IEC 62619 covers Li-ion safety, thermal runaway, BMS behaviour — and is used across MCS & global certs
- IEC 63056 is newer, for appliance batteries. Not yet widely adopted.
- Conclusion: FoxESS products certified to IEC 62619 are suitable for all domestic installs
Arc Flash Risk — Who Is Responsible?

FoxESS will issue an Arc Flash Design Statement for integrated systems confirming:
- Built-in fault protection (contactors, fuses, etc.)
- Shutdown logic via BMS and inverter
- Compliance with IET CoP Appendix E (Fig E.1)
PAS 63100 Commissioning Documents
The IET Code of Practice (Section 13, Pg 130) requires installers to complete the PAS 63100 commissioning forms.
These are now expected by NHBC and some DNOs for all domestic storage installs.
