This is a short guide on how to parallel the Evo using the AI Link EMS.
You will require an AI-Link for paralleling multiple Evo units together, you will also require a single phase Chint meter (DDSU-666).
| AI-Link | Chint meter (DDSU-666) | |
| RS485-A | 2 | 24 |
| RS485-B | 1 | 25 |
You will need to run a cat 5 (pin 1-8 type B) between the AI-Link and 1st Evo inverter, this needs to be plugged into P2 port on the Evo. You will need to install the resistor provided in the Evo box into pins 21 and 22 on the comms plug.

You will then need to take another cat 5 comms cable from the 1st inverter to the 2nd (P1) etc.
Please note: this resistor must be inserted in the 1st and last Evo in the chain.

Evo Settings
Once the above is completed you will need to configure the Evo units in parallel.
Please follow the below steps:
- Click the top right hand corner 3 solid lines
- Click on setting (enter password)
- Click on off grid
- Set the Parallel No to the number of inverters (will be either 2 or 3)
- Set the parallel address; this can be a random number between 1-250 – you will need to add a unique address value for each inverter in parallel

App Set-Up
To commission the AI link this can be done via the Fox Cloud app.
- Open up the Fox Cloud 2.0 app
- Click on me at the bottom on the page within your account
- Click on WLAN configuration
- Click on the device reference EMS_************ (should appear on a scan)
- Select the SSID and enter the WiFi password for the router
- Click next
- Wait for the successful screen then click finish

Firmware
Please ensure all Evo units are on the latest available firmware and all running the same firmware version. The AI Link itself should have a minimum firmware version of 2.1.2. If required, please contact Fox Support to upgrade once the EMS is connected online.
