When Force Discharge has reached the SOC specified, continue to use the battery in preference to grid for domestic power.
Last year I regularly charged my battery fully overnight, when Octopus charged a low rate for its energy, and I used Force Discharge during the day when Octopus paid the best export rate. I tried to judge the minimum SOC level I set in FD SOC so that the needs of my house could still be met by the battery. Once the FD SOC limit I had specified was reached the inverter continued to use the battery to supply the house (until Battery Reserve Capacity was reached). In December a firmware update changed this so that now, once FD SOC has been reached, the house is supplied from the grid for the remainder of the Force Discharge period. This doesn't make sense, as that is a period when Octopus is charging a high rate. Doesn't anybody else recognise this problem and will Fox undo this change to the logic?
Good news! Fox have told me that they will introduce a new option with the next update to resolve this problem.
I have the exact same problem post update and also use Octopus flux. It is a tariff designed specifically for solar with batteries.

We have the same issue and quite often import more than we exported originally - frustrating.
Yeah, all was working fine until I upgraded the firmware earlier in the week (2.08), ever since I’ve been experiencing the same issue. Extremely frustrating and with the other recent issues I’m questioning my decision to go with Fox. 🤔
Hi,
The date hasn't been confirmed, but there is a plan to bring this back. There is a feature going to be enabled on the app where it will allow the user, to either take from the gird as it is doing so now to once it has reached the SOC specified, it will begin to draw from the battery.
It is expected to be available in April if everything goes smoothly.
thankyou.. same issue.. once we hit SOC target, plz don't default to import energy during the highest tarrif period. 🙂
