Problem with Datalogger connecting to chrome

We've tried to connect via the instructions below but at 3 and point 5 - my mobile device finds the SSID-W network (W-49UB110) but cannot connect - it says it can only "connect without Wi-Fi" and we cannot move past this. Can anyone help? it suggests there might be a problem with the datalogger, what do others think?

1)Shut down mobile data on mobile device
2)Ensure your Wifi has 2.4Ghz enabled
3)Open Wi-Fi networks on mobile device and search for SSID W- (last seven characters of datalogger serial number) -
4)Enter password if required (mtmt2020) no problem with the password.
5)Launch web browser on mobile device (Safari, DuckDuckGo, Chrome)
6)Type in 192.168.1.1 to navigate to datalogger setup net web server if you are asked for a password at this stage it is 12345678
7)In third window down inside top blue box select your home wifi SSID from drop down list
8)Enter home wifi p/w in the fourth box.
9)Press ‘SAVE’
10)Wait some minutes and hopefully red LED on datalogger will flash 1x every 2 seconds.
Please ensure you are close to your datalogger when doing this and that there is not a lot of building infrastructure or distance between the router and datalogger of this will fail and a LAN or 4G datalogger will be needed.

Hi, when attempting to connect to the datalogger network, you should disable auto join on the property Wifi or the Wifi that you are normally connected to, it may be best to forget that network all together, then when you connect to the datalogger network, you will get access to the 192 page to configure the Wifi.

If the auto join isn't disabled what will happen when you try to connect to the datalogger then try to sign into the 192 page, is that is will automatically connect back to the property Wifi and not allow access to the next part.
