This guide provides a quick-reference, summarised overview of the installation, commissioning and set-up of the EP batteries. It should only be used alongside the full installation manual(s) for the product(s). Please refer to the relevant product manual(s) for full guidance.
What’s in the box:
- EP battery
- Comms cable (labelled BMS and PCS)
- DC battery leads
- 2 x end of line resistors
- Battery Earth cable

Battery installation:
- Single EP battery, plug the DC cables into the positive and negative ports of the battery and the positive and negative ports on the battery terminals of the inverter.
- Plug the comms cable into the BMS port of the inverter (BMS) and into the PCS port of the battery (PCS).
- For a single EP battery you MUST plug the 2 x end of line resistor plugs into the link in and link out ports on the left side of the battery.

Multiple battery installation:
- For Multiple EP batteries you will require an EP BOX.
- DC plugs from the individual batteries plug into the EP BOX (maximum 4 batteries) on the bottom terminals. From the EP box to the battery terminals of the inverter.
- Comms cable goes from BMS port on the inverter to the PCS port of the master battery.
- Comms cable from the master battery to the first slave, Link out to link in of the first slave battery.
- End of line resistor plug: on the master battery you MUST plug 1 x end of line resistor plug in the link in port. The second end of line resistor plug MUST go to link out on the last slave battery.
NOTE:
- The slave batteries DO NOT have any comms cables in the PCS port.
- If the end of line resistors are not plugged in correctly the batteries will not be able to function.
