This is a summary guide of how to parallel the H3/AC3 inverters. Please refer to the product manual for detailed installation guidance.
- Define what inverter will be the master inverter (master inverter MUST have the Chint Meter connected to it).
- Once this has been determined you will need to run a cat 5 (pin 1-8) ethernet lead between the master and 1st slave inverter.
- You will need to plug the RS485 plug into parallel 2 on the master inverter and the other end of the RS485 plugs into parallel 1 (follow this process to the next slave inverter).
- You will need to set all dip switches on the master inverter to the on position.
- Parallel inverter settings will also need to be set on the master inverter and slave inverters.
Master inverter parallel settings:
Enter the menu – click on setting – click on Parallel – select master mode
Slave inverter parallel setting:
Enter the menu – click setting – click Parallel – select Free Mode.
things to note:
If you set the slave to free mode with the can cable is still connected to the master and slave inverters, the slave inverter will revert to being the slave inverter.
